My Paris: Week 11
It’s been a week full of friends and lots of good food and wine and beer. First, Au Passage with Ariane and Antoine. The menu was varied and everything we got was superbly fresh and well-sourced. Just look at that tartare de boeuf! We’ll definitely be going back.
Then to Verjus for a kale party thrown by the wonderful Kristen of The Kale Project, who’s been working tirelessly to bring kale to France.
The arancini and the salad (which I failed to get a photo of) were to die for. Thanks for the invite, Kristen, and thanks for the excellent wine and service, Laura!
Walking home through the 1st is always a treat.
Finally, to La Fine Mousse for their grand opening party, featuring a keg of the newly-released Cantillon Fou’Foune (not to mention the craft triples and IPAs on tap) and silly faces from friends.

Thanks for posting photos of the kale party at Verjus — was so bummed I couldn’t go and support Kristen!!
No worries! We should go together next time she has one — I felt a little lost being there alone before I started chatting with some lovely English ladies.
Definitely!
LOVE Verjus, and was bummed I couldn’t be there… but also went to La Fine Mousse before official opening, and really dig it too… so it seems like you had a pretty awesome week !
It was pretty sweet. Can’t wait to see you tomorrow!
Oh, so happy to discover La Fine Mousse as my French husband loves beer and misses all the American artisanal brews. We’ll have to try it out! I hopped over here from Kristen’s post about kale at Verjus – hi! đŸ™‚
Hi Abigail! If your husband likes American craft brews, you should hit up La Cave Ă Bulles as well. It’s a beer store and the proprietor has lots of American microbrews around.
