My Paris, Week 18: Salon du Chocolat, Tasting Menu at Verjus, and a Party

piles of chocolate at salon du chocolat

This week, we visited the Salon du Chocolat, a huge chocolate expo at the Porte de Versailles. It was a chocolate, and people, overload — perhaps we should have expected it, since there are very few foods that people are more passionate about than chocolate.

We also finally got a chance to try the tasting menu at Verjus. I know I’ve been posting about Verjus a lot, but that’s all been the wine bar, not the restaurant proper.

I’ve had a lot of good meals in Paris, but this has been my favorite so far. Everything was beautifully presented and perfectly cooked and the service was warm and generous.

Then we had a party at our place! A little cheese, a little wine, some friends, music, and making fools of ourselves playing Kinect games.
