Paris, My Sweet, A Giveaway, and The New Guard

They’re calling us “The New Guard.” A little group of Parisiennes who have been around just a year or two, and who met through our mutual love of blogging, food, photography, and this beautiful city we get to call home.

I was flattered to be interviewed by Amy Thomas, author of Paris, My Sweet, and all-around lovely person, as part of a series of interviews with this group of girls (who happen to be some of my favorite people in Paris). Take a look here to get to know me a bit better! It’s not every day that someone calls me sassy, after all.

Additionally, Amy is kindly offering a copy of her delicious book to a lucky reader. Her memoir of her time in Paris has guided me to some of my favorite spots, and her words can’t fail to whisk you off to the best patisseries and chocolateries the city has to offer. When I move back to the States, I know I’ll pick up Paris, My Sweet again and again to live vicariously through past-Amy.

I have “liked” your blog for awhile now…love it!!!

There is no other spot for the best sweet treats in London than Ottolenghi. They have four locations in London so there is no excuse to miss it. You must sample their prosecco, elderflower and raspberry jelly, with Chantilly cream and vanilla biscuits. Delicious x

That would be Panorama, a suburb that overlooks my hometown, Thessaloniki, for a delicious pastry called “trigono” (triangle), which is made from delicious fillo pastry in syrup, filled with dreamy cream.

And also several traditional pastry shops, that make uncredible syrup pastries that Greeks who lived in Turkey used to make, like baklava, kataifi, ekmek or kunefe.

    I feel hungry now… :-o
